RESOLUTION NO. 93-353
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Fire Department has entered into an agreement with
the State of Minnesota to provide response capabilities in the event of a radiological
emergency at the Monticello or Prairie Island nuclear facilities; and
WHEREAS, this contract requires the department to purchase or lease a vehicle;
and
WHEREAS, it is deemed most economical to purchase a vehicle through a State
authorized dealership at a cost of $22,000; and
WHEREAS, the State has funding available to replace the funds spent from the
City's 1993 Central Equipment Fund for the vehicle; and
WHEREAS, if the purchase of the vehicle is made before June 30, 1993, $7,000 is
immediately available from the 1993 fiscal year funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the purchase of a Suburban for the use of the Fire
Department is authorized from the 1993 Central Equipment Fund from a State authorized
dealership at a cost of $22,000; and the City will pursue replacement of the funds out of
the $7,000 per fiscal year authorized by the State.
