HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-300CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 93-300 RESOLUTION OF CONCURRENCE WITH THE INVITATION REQUESTING THE HB14NEPIN COUNTY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE HENNNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY PROVIDERS PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has adopted a financing program known as the Community Providers Program ("Program") designed to provide financial assistance to qualified providers of community services under contract to Hennepin County by making available low-cost loans from a Community Providers program Common Bond Fund for the following purposes related to physical plant and facilities: Refinancing of existing debt; 2. Funds for acquisition of facilities for county authorized new or expansion programs; Acquisition of facilities currently being leased by the qualified service provider; or 4. Acquisition of facilities to replace leased facilities. WHEREAS, Hammer Residence, Inc. ("Service Provider") is a provider of community services under contract with Hennepin County with facilities located in the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the Service Provider may wish to participate in the Program; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 383.B.77, Sub. 2, requires invitation to the Hennepin County HRA from City of Plymouth's HRA before the Hennepin County HRA can exercise its powers within this City; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth's HRA has extended such an invitation to the Hennepin County HRA to enable it to proceed with the Community Providers Program in this City. THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows: The Plymouth City Council fords the implementation of the Community Providers Program by the Hennepin County HRA to be proper and in the public interest and hereby concurs with the Plymouth HRA's invitation to the Hennepin County HRA to provide the technical assistance to Hammer Residence, Inc. for participation in the Community Providers Program.
