HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-077CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 93-77 AUTHORIZING PEDDLERS TO SELL AT MUSIC IN PLYMOUTH WHEREAS, Music in Plymouth is a premiere community event sponsored by the Plymouth Civic League and City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate from a public safety and health perspective to regulate the number of concessionaires operating at Music in Plymouth; and WHEREAS, Plymouth City Code Section 805.01, Subd. 7 provides that no person may offer items for sale, rent, or hire unless they have obtained a license to do so from the City Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does, direct that the City Manager issue licenses to concessionaires who have received advanced permission from the Plymouth Civic League to sell at the Music in Plymouth event and that a portion of the concession proceeds are to be dedicated to the Civic League to pay the expenses of the event. The Police and Fire Departments shall be authorized, in accordance with City Code, to deny access or direct removal from the site of those vendors and concessionaires who have failed to comply with the provisions of the Plymouth City Code and this resolution. Adopted by the City Council on January 25, 1993.
