HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-019CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 92-19 APPOINTING DWIGHT D. JOHNSON AS PLYMOUTH CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, James G. Willis submitted his resignation as Plymouth City Manager on July 20, 1992; and WHEREAS, the City Council has retained the firm of Personnel Decisions, Inc. to conduct a recruitment and selection process for a new City Manager; and WHEREAS, 157 applications were received from throughout the nation; and WHEREAS, a thorough recruitment and selection process was undertaken and completed; and WHEREAS, Dwight D. Johnson and the City of Plymouth have agreed in principle to coniiactual provisions specifying terms and conditions of employment with the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: 1. Name Dwight D. Johnson to be City Manager of the City of Plymouth effective on or about February 1, 1993, to serve at the pleasure of the Council; and 2. That the contract drafted by the City Attorney's office, setting forth the wages and conditions of employment for Dwight D. Johnson is hereby approved with one amendment; and 3. Upon Dwight D. Johnson's first day of employment as City Manager, Frank Boyles shall be reclassified from Acting City Manager to Assistant City Manager and the $1,000 per month salary increase received for Acting City Manager status stuili be discontinued.. Adopted by the City Council on January 4, 1993.
