HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-827CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of December , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-827 ADJUSTING LIFE INSURANCE COVERAGES AND MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCILMEMBERS WHEREAS, part of the remuneration for the Mayor and City Councilmembers is a life insurance policy; and WHEREAS, the life insurance policy has heretofore been written in the amount of $100,000; and WHEREAS, periodically it is necessary for the City Council to travel outside of the corporate limits of the community using their personal automobile to conduct official City business. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNFSOTA, that it should, and hereby does, effective January 1, 1990, adjust the universal life insurance premiums from $100,000 to $150,000 for each Councilmember and Mayor, and authorize a mileage reimbursement allowance of 24¢ per mile for official City business requiring the use of a personal car traveling outside the metropolitan area. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker Zitur and Sisk he following voted against or abstained: None . Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
