HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-759CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 20th day of November , 1989. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-759 APPROVING NO PARKING SIGN INSTALLATION WHEREAS, the Independent School District No. 284 has a Student Parking Permit System for Wayzata Senior High; and WHEREAS, this program causes dislocation of some student vehicles from off- street school parking lots to on -street locations; and WHEREAS, the residents certain streets and the Police Department have requested restrictive parking; and WHEREAS, the City desires to minimize on -street parking to enhance vehicular and pedestrian safety. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it hereby authorizes the installation of No Parking signs at the following locations: 1. "No Parking - 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., School Days". a. 3rd Avenue from Ranchview Lane to Niagara Lane, both sides.- b. ides: b. Ranchview Lane from 3rd Avenue to 6th Avenue, east side. 2. "No Parking Any Time". a. Ranchview Lane from 5th Avenue to 6th Avenue, west side. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Counrilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
