Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the
City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 9th
day of November , 1989 The following members were
present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Mayor Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved
Its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-742
PROPOSED COMMUNITY CENTER - APPROVAL OF DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE AND
SUSPENDING FURTHER CONSIDERATION UNTIL AFTER JANUARY 1, 1990
WHEREAS, the City Council has received design development drawings from BWBR
Architects for the proposed community center as well as updated construction
cost estimates prepared by McGough Construction, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the design development drawings
represent their view of the community center; and
WHEREAS, this Council believes that further consideration on the future of the
community center should be resolved by the City Council after the lst of
January, 1990.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota, that design development drawings prepared by BWBR
Architects and presented to this Council be and the same are hereby accepted as
satisfying the requirements of the agreement between the City and the Architects
for the conclusion of the design development phase.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost estimates for the design development phase
as prepared by McGough Construction, Inc. are hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that further work on the planning for the proposed
community center beyond the design development phase not be authorized by this
Council, but rather be deferred until after January 1, 1990.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou,
Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The followinq
voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
