HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-675CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of Oc_toher , 1989. The following members -.re present: Mayor Schneider. CouncilmemhPrc , Vasiliou. Ricker. Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-675 AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF LAND I-494/COUNTY ROAD 6 INTERCHANGE CITY PROJECT NO. 250 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is proposing to construct an interchange on I-494 at County Road 6; and WHEREAS, this is a joint project with the City of Plymouth and the Minnesota Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the City is required to furnish to the Minnesota Department of Transportation all land and right-of-way necessary for the construction of the interchange; and WHEREAS, a portion of the land necessary for right-of-way is owned by Hennepin County; and 10 WHEREAS, the County is interested in purchasing a portion of excess land adjacent to the interchange that is not needed for right-of-way which is owned by the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the County has authorized the deeding of the necessary right-of-way in exchange for the excess City property and payment of $132,052; and WHEREAS, the land necessary for the right-of-way is indicated by Outlots A and B within the plat of Minneapolis Industrial Park 5th Addition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute a deed for that portion of property owned by the City of Plymouth within Minneapolis Industrial Park 5th Addition outside of Outlot B to Hennepin County. FURTHER, that payment is authorized from City Project No. 250 to Hennepin County in the amount of $132,052 for that portion of Outlots A and B, Minneapolis Industrial Park 5th Addition, which is owned by Hennepin County.
