HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-600CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of October 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou , Ricker. Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-600 RESOLUTION REJECTING BID PLYMOUTH COMMUNITY CENTER BID PACKAGE NO. 1 GRADING AND SITE UTILITIES CITY PROJECT V0. 901 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Plymouth Community Center, Bid Package No. 1, Grading and Site Utilities, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Imperial Developers, Inc. Busse Construction, Inc. Veit and Company Park Construction Company Carl Bolander and Sand Company DLR Construction Company 0 b P Contracting, Inc. Nova -Frost, Inc. Note 1: Utilities only, not a complete bid $ 274,438 284,250 296,130 324,500 348,860 379,710 (Note 1) 132,600 (Note 1) 145,200 WHEREAS, the estimate by the Project Manager exceeds the total budget as established by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Architect and Project Manager are recommending that all bids be rejected. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. All bids are hereby rejected based on the owners right to not award a contract according to the project bid documents. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted . in favor thereof: _Mayor Se neider Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker. Zitur and Sisk , The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
