HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-590CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 25th day of September , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider,Z`ouncilmembers asiliou, Ricker and Zitur The following members were absent:Councilmember Sisk Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-590 HEALTH/DENTAL INSURANCE PWGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides for hospital, medical, surgical and dental Insurance benefits for its regular and permanent part-time employees; and WHEREAS, the City participates in the cost of said insurance benefits in an amount determined periodically by the City Council; and WHEREAS, members of the City Council are considered as "employees" of the City of Plymouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MINNESOTA that hospital, medical, surgical and members of the City Council during their terms rate available to other general city employees; CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, dental insurance benefits extended to of office be at the family contribution BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event a Councilmember elects to retain private Insurance coverage not otherwise provided through one of the insurance carriers offered by the City, that the City will contribute the same amount toward those premiums as would have otherwise been provided for family coverage had the Councilmember elected regular city insurance coverage. Proof of the private insurance coverage shall be provided to the Finance Director. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted In favor t ereo ayor, chnelder, Councilmembers Vasillou, Ricker and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
