Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 25th day of Sep Pmh r r ,
1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou ,
Ricker and Zitur
The following members were absent: Councilmember Sisk
Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-573
RESOLUTION REJECTING BID
WEST MEDICINE LAKE DRIVE TRAIL
CITY PROJECT NO. 931
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the West Medicine Lake Drive Trail
Project bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following
bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Hardrives, Inc. $ 93,616.00
Barber Construction Co., Inc. 103,814.50
Alber Construction 105,941.90
Valley Paving 117,239.55
H. L. Johnson 120,588.00
Rice Lake Constracting 121,738.70
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bid is 48% over the engineers estimate:
and
WHEREAS, the Engineer is recommending that all bids be rejected and the project be
rebid in the Spring of 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. All bids are hereby rejected based on the owners right to not award a contaract
according to the project bid documents.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
the deposits made with their bids.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou_ Rlekpr and Zt iar ,
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared auly passed and adopted.
