HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-550CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 11th day of September , 1989. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk , The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the fn'Liowing Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-550 APPROVING 1989 RECYCLING PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR 1989 COST SHARING WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has revised its Recycling expenditures submitted to Hennepin County due to the new contract required when Super Cycle defaulted on the old contract; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth proposes to qualify for 80% County Fund Sharing by collecting in excess of 10% of the residential waste stream; and WHEREAS, these total costs for all expenditures, including 5,000 additional Recycling containers, amounts to approximately $313,475. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does approve the proposed Recycling Program through the year 1989 and that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Hennepin County providing for County funding in the amount of $255,780. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker- , Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
