HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-523CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a ri-pilar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 11th day of September , 1989. The follow -.ng members were present: , Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Vasiliou._Ricker, Zitur and Sisk , The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-523 RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 1989 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM CITY PROJECT NO. 801 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on September 11, 1989, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the total cost of the following improvements: Streets within an area from 20th Avenue North to County Road 24 and west of County Road 101 within the City of Plymouth, Minnesota by the installation of reconstructed bituminous street with repair of existing concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. A hearing shall be held on the 2nd day of October, 1989, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once ir: the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker , Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
