HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-521CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 11th day of cape-eaher , 1989. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and'Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 89-521 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 1989 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM CITY PROJECT NO. 801 WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: Streets within an area from 20th Avenue North to County Road 24 and west of County Road 101 within the City of Plymouth, Minnesota by the installation of reconstructed bituminous street with repair of concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is $1,109,424 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $258,117 so the total cost of the improvement will be $1,367,541 and of this cost the City will pay $935,497.62 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $432,043.38. 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Couneilmem1her 7_itnr , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker,--, 7.4tur and Riak The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
