HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-450CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of August , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou , Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk adoption: introduced the following Resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 89- 450 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID HIGHWAY 169 FRONTAGE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 833 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Highway 169 Frontage Road Improvements Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Hardrives, Inc. $ 456,330.96 Bury & Carlson 480,478.71 Alexander Construction 483,934.67 C.S. McCrossan Const., Inc. 491,127.01 Carl Bolander & Sons 528,465.40 WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc. of Maple Grove, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Hardrives, Inc. of Maple Grove, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Highway 169 Frontage Road Improvements, City Project No. 833 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $456,330.96. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilms.mb r Riker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider. Counci7_members Vasiliou. Ricker, Zitur and Sisk-,, The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
