HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-438CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 24th day of July , 1989. The following members were present: Schneider, Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur, Sisk The following members were absent: None Counclimember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 89-438 ADOPTING 1990 BUDGETS WHEREAS, the City Manager has prepared pronosed 1990 budgets for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1990 based upon the requirements of the 1988 Tax Law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY T-.iE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the 1990 proposed operating budgets for the following funds are hereby preliminary approved: General Fund Budget $ 10,519,800 Recreation Fund Budget 550,000 Forestry Fund Budget 243,600 Water Fund Budget 2,490,000 Sewer Fund Budget 3,400,000 Central Equipment Fund Budget 1,580,000 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, (1) that this proposed operating budget resolution and the accompanying proposed tax levies contained in Resolution No. 89-437 are being submitted by the City in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 275.065 and other applicable law in effect on this date; (11) that the Resolutions represent a good faith effort by the City to substantially comply with applicable law and the guidance supplied by the Commissioner of Revenue on June 23, 1989; and (iii) that the City Council declares its Intent to take all necessary actions legally permissible to conform with the laws, rulings, and regulations now or hereafter applicable to the submission and approval of the City's budget and tax levies both proposed and final. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Schneider, Zitur, Sisk, Vasillou, Ricker The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
