HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-433CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 24th day of July 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Council.members Vasiliou Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur adoption: introduced the following Resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 89- 433 RECEIVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT 15TH AVENUE - STREET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 945 WHEREAS, Mr. Richard J. Theisen, Richard A. Gould, Tim Carpentier, Jeff Wold, Marion Syvertsen, Tim and Cindy Harrer, Donna L. Martin have petitioned the City to make improvements to 15th Avenue from South Shore Drive to approximately 400 feet north and east of South Shore Drive; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Medicine Lake voted at their July 10th meeting to support the requested improvement and Preliminary Engineering Report and hold the necessary public hearing for this improvement within their City limits; and WHEREAS, property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvements to 15th Avenue from South Shore Drive to approximately 400 feet north and east of South Shore Drive be referred to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. for the study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of such an improvement as recommended The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur , and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
