OF Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 24th day of July ,
1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasilibu
Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-428
RECEIVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT
9TH AVENUE FROM RANCHVIEW LANE EAST TO SHENANDOAH LANE
RANCHVIEW LANE - 9TH AVENUE TO 7TH AVENUE
STREET AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Mr. Kevin Kuechle has petitioned the City to make improvements to 9th Avenue
from Ranchview Lane east to Shenandoah Lane by the installation of a seven ton
bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities and all necessary
appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Division recommends inclusion of Ranchview Lane from 9th
Avenue to 7th Avenue as part of this improvement; and
WHEREAS, property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of
the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws
1953, Chapter 398, as amended);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvements to 9th Avenue from Ranchview Lane east to
Shenandoah Lane and also Ranchview Lane from 9th Avenue to 7th Avenue be referred to
Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. for the study and that the engineers
be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the
Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and
as to whether it should be best made as proposed or in connection with some other
improvement, and the estimated cost of such an improvement as recommended
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
rnunrilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and S'.k ,
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
