HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-395CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the loth day of July , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou , Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89- 395 RECEIVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT MINNESOTA LANE - NORTH OF 9TH AVENUE - STREET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 944 WHEREAS, Mr. Roger T. Matti, Helen B. Matti, Mark E Rochford, Debra Ann Rochford have petitioned the City to make improvements to Minnesota Lane from 9th Avenue North to 300 feet north of 9th Avenue by the installation of a seven ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvements from 9th Avenue to 300 feet north of 9th Avenue be referred to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. for study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of such an improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker. Zitur and Sis%: The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
