Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of July ,
1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou ,
Ricker. Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89- 353
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF
DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS
LOTS 1 AND 2 BLOCK 1 SCHERER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT 2ND ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate certain utility and drainage easements in
Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Scherer Industrial Development 2nd Addition; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for July 10, 1989
in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks
prior to the meeting of July 10, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on July 10, 1989 to inform any and all
interested parties relevant to the vacation of certain utility and drainage easements
in Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Scherer Industrial Development 2nd Addition; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said easements were not needed for
public purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA: That the following utility and drainage easements be vacated:
The south 6 feet of Lot 1, Block 1 Scherer Industrial Development 2nd
Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota except the east 10 feet and the north
6 feet of Lot 2, Block 1 Scherer Industrial Development 2nd Addition,
Hennepin County, Minnesota except the east 10 feet.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
