HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-351CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 10th day of July , 1989. The following members were present: Schneider, Zitur, 3`rsk, Vasiliou, Ricker The following members were absent: None Mayor Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adorn: RESOLUTION 89-351 REVOKING FOUR PEDDLER LICENSES WHEREAS, on June 2, 1989, peddler licenses were issued to Ernest N. Thomas, Terry Lavonne Ellis, Johnny Lee Ross, and Alvin F. Reynolds; and WHEREAS, the City has received a substantial number of resident complaints of the aggressive sales tactics used by the licensees; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Plymouth City Code Section 1005.23 a hearing has been granted to the licensees; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the reported behavior of the licensed individuals constitutes a potential menace to public health, safety and welfare, and disturbs the peace and comfort of the residents of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the peddler licenses issued to Ernest N. Thomas, Terry Lavonne Ellis, Johnny Lee Ross, and Alvin F. Reynolds are hereby revoked. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: chnelder.
