Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reg++lnr meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 19th day of Jima- ,
1989. The following members were present: Mawr Srhnaidar, rounrilmemberc Vaailin„ ,
Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: ConnRicker
Cnunrilmammhpr Sink introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-330
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
1989 SEAL COAT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1989 Seal Coat Program; and
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following
bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Allied Blacktop Company $ 182,727.59
Astech Corporation 179,950.46
WHEREAS, it appears that Astech Corporation is the lowest responsible bidder, complying
with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into the attached contract with Astech Corporation in the name of the
City of Plymouth for the 1989 Seal Coat Program according to the plans
and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file
in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of
$179,950.46.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith
to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the
deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
enunrilawabar Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Zitur and Sisk ,
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
