Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 5th day of Timm ,
1989. The following members were present: mayor Schneider, CnunrilmPmhPrc Vagjlinu
Ricker. Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: NnnP
Cnuneilmemher Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-308
REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO
CONDUCT SPEED STUDIES
CO. RD. 24 AND CO. RD. 6
WHEREAS, residential development has been completed and is continuing along Co. Rd. 6
and Co. Rd. 24; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to determine the proper speed limit for this street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA: that the City requests the Hennepin County Department of Transportation to
make a request to the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation to
undertake an engineering study to determine a safe and reasonable speed on the
following roads:
1. Co. Rd. 24 from Co. Rd. 101 to Brockton Lane.
2. Co. Rd. 6 from Olive Lane to Ferndale Lara.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
