HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-299CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day of June , 1989 The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker. Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 89-299 APPROVING AMENDMENT TO STAGED GROWTH ELEMENT OF THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR RYAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (89014) WHEREAS, Ryan Construction Company has requested approval of an Amendment to the Staged Growth Element of the Comprehensive Plan to allow the development of property located in the northeast corner of County Road #F9 and I-494 (PIN 15-118-22-13-0003 and part of 0004); and, WHEREAS, the request would divert approximately 52 acres from the Post -1990 Urban Service Area to the current Urban Service Area; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered this request at a duly scheduled Public Hearing and has recommended approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for an amendment to the Staged Growth Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan based on a finding that the area to be moved to Urban Service from Post -1990 is designated for 1989 trunk sanitary sewer service in the adopted City of Plymouth Capital Improvements Program 1989-1993; and, FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan Staged Growth Amendment is contingent upon, and subject to the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council, and the Final Plat which shall be approved by the City Council prior to finalization of the amendment. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou. Ricker. Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
