Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a re velar meeting of the
City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day
of June , 1989 The following members were present:
Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Counc_ilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:

APPROVING SITE PLAN AND VARIANCE FOR SELECT METALS INDUSTRIES (88100)
WHEREAS, Select Metals Industries has requested approval of a Site Plan
amendment for an addition of 26,260 square feet and a Variance for 86 "proof
of parking" spaces as required by the Zoning Ordinance at 14920 27th Avenue
North; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called
Public Hearing and recommends approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby does approve the request for Select Metals
Industries for a Site Plan amendment for an addition of 26,260 square feet and
a Variance for 86 "proof of parking" spaces at 14920 27th Avenue North,
subject to the following conditions:
1. Compliance with the City Engineer's Memorandum.
2. Compliance with Policy Resolution No. 79-80 regarding minimum floor
elevations for new structures on sites adjacent to, or containing any open
storm water drainage facility.
3. Submission of required financial guarantee and Site Performance Agreement
for completion of site improvements.
4. Any signage shall be in compliance with the Ordinance.
5. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and
approvals per Ordinance provisions.
6. Compliance with the Ordinance regarding the location of fire hydrants and
fire lanes.
7. All waste and waste containers shall be stored within the structure, and
no outside storage is permitted.
8. An 8-1/2 x 11 inch "As Built" Fire Protection Plan shall be submitted
prior to the release or reduction of any site improvement bonds per City
Policy.

9. A Variance is approved, based on the unique use of the structure, to allow
a "proof of parking" plan showing 98 offstreet parking spaces instead of
184, provided that a Covenant, approved by the City Attorney, shall be
recorded on the property title providing that use of the structure shall
be limited to those which, in aggregate, generate an offstreet parking
need - based on Zoning Ordinance formulas - that does not exceed 98
offstreet parking spaces.
10. The edging of the existing asphalt along the east site border shall be
upgraded to B612 section curbing or curb stone.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Council_memher zittir , and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider- Cminrilmamhorc U-41 4nu,
Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following voted against or abstained None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
