HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-266CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the --nth day of May , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider,Z—ouncilmembers Vasillou, Ricker Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-266 RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ECONOMIC TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 7-1 AND AN AMENDMENT TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 2 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City has duly established Municipal Development District No. 7 (Development District). The City has duly created Economic Development Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 (TID No. 2) within the Development District. 2. The City Manager has recommended that the Council consider an amendment to the Tax Increment Financing Plan (TIF Plan) for TID No. 2 and the creation of a new Economic Development Tax Increment No. 7-1 (TID No. 7) within the Development District. 3. The Council has reviewed the City Manager's recommendation and finds that the amendment to TID No. 2 and creation of TID No. 7 would significantly assist the City in carrying out the development program for the Development District. 4. The City Council will meet June 5, 1989 at 7:30 p.m., at the Plymouth City Center, to conduct public hearings as required by law to consider the: a) amendment of the TIF Plan for TID No. 2: and b) a TIF Plan for TID No. 7-1 and the establishment of TID No. 7-1. 5. The Clerk is authorized and directed to publish notice of the hearings in the manner required by law and in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibits A and B. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
