HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-254CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a re$u1.gr meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the. 1st day of May , 1989. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-254 APPROVING AGREEMENT CHICAGO & NORTHWESTERN TRANSPORTATION COMPANY CITY PROJECT NO. 833 WHEREAS, The City is proposing to improve the frontage road along the west side of Highway 169 between 8th Avenue and 13th Avenue; and WHEREAS, there is an existing railroad crossing this frontage road which is owned and operated by the Chicago & Northwestern Transportation Company; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to improve the crossing and provide flashing signals; and WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared between the City and the railroad for the necessary improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HERRBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute the agreement between the City and the Chicago & Northwestern Transportation Company providing for the improvement of the existing railroad crossing of the west frontage road along Highway 169 between 8th Avenue and 13th Avenue. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
