HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-212CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th day of April 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou Richer. 7ittir and Sick The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89- 212 REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT SPEED STUDIES COUNTY ROAD 47 - CO. RD. 10 TO VICKSBURG LANE WHEREAS, residential development has been completed and is continuing along Co. Rd. 47; and WHEREAS, when the current speed limit was established there was only rural type development along Co. Rd. 47. WHEREAS, it is necessary to determine the proper speed limit for this street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the City requests the Hennepin County Department of Transportation to make a request to the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation to undertake an engineering study to determine a safe and reasonable speed on County Road 47 from Co. Rd. 10 to Vicksburg Lane. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by fnnnrilmPmher Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
