HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-191CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the Ci'.y of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 3rd day of Aoril , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider Councilmembers Ricker, , Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: Councilmemher Vasiliou Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-191 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID PURCHASE OF TRACTOR WITH FLAIL MOWER WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the receipt of bids for the purchase of a tractor with flail mower for the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, said equipment is required to adequately provide City services; and WHEREAS, in accordance with State Statute, bid specifications were prepared and distributed and bid proposals received and opened on March 14, 1989; and the following bids were received: [:i 4q COMPANY Long Lake Ford Tractor ALT, 2a $37,939 ALT, 2b $33,337 ALT. 2c $35,779 TRADE-IN $3,098 Greenberg Implement, Inc. 40,876 39,474 No Bid 2,500 Scharber and Sons 38,264 36,728 36,764 5,850 Carlson Tractor & Equip. Co. No Bid No Bid 35,104 3,000 WHEREAS, the bid of Long Lake Ford Tractor for Alternate 2b is in conformance with the City's specifications for this equipment and it is recommended that it be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The bid of Long Lake Ford Tractor for Alternate 2b is declared the lowest responsible bidder. 2. That the City hereby accepts the bid in the amount of $30,239 (Alt. 2b less trade-in) and funds for this purchase are authorized from the Central Equipment Fund (602-602). The motion for the adoption of the fc,regoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
