Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 3rd day of
April , 1989• The following members were present: ,
Mayor Schneider Councilmembers Ricker Zitur and Sisk ,
The following members were absent: Councilmember Vasiliou
Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-186
DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT - STREET LIGHTING
9TH AVENUE EAST OF COUNTY ROAD 101 AND GARLAND LANE BETWEEN
9TH AVENUE AND 11TH AVENUE
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from the residents abutting 9th Avenue
east of County Road 101 and Garland Lane between 9th Avenue and 11th Avenue
requesting installation of overhead residential street lighting on existing
poles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of 9th Avenue east of
County Road 101 and Garland Lane between 9th Avenue and 11th Avenue
by the installation of residential overhead street lighting, filed
with the City Council on April 3, 1989, is hereby declared to be
signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected
thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota
Statutes Section 429.035.
2. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is
instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed
advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the
proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best
be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement
and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Ricker. Zitur and Sigk
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
