HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-150CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rpgular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of March , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker,Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption RESOLUTION NO. 89-150 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WELL NO. 10 WATER MAIN STEEPLECHASE 7TH ADDITION WATERMAIN CITY PROJECT NO. 814 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on May 2, 1988, the City's Consulting Engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the water main at Well No. 10 and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that the remainder of the trunk watermain between Dunkirk Lane and Vicksburg Lane be completed in order to provide additional water pressure to the western part of the City and the consulting engineer has also completed the plans and specifications for this trunk watermain improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA; 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published once, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on March 28, 1989 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center Building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, , 7_itur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
