HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-137CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 27th day of February , 1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider,-!6uncilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-137 COMMUNITY CENTER CONCEPT DESIGN COMPETITION WHEREAS, the City Council has previously selected three architectural firms to participate in a design competition for the development of community center concept plans; and WHEREAS, each of the three firms submitted their design concepts pursuant to their agreements with the City dated December 22, 1988; and WHEREAS, the City indicated that it would acquire said designs and pay $15,000 to the firm deemed to have selected the favored design and $10,000 to each of the firms for the other two designs; and WHEREAS, the Council's Commmunity Center Architectural Committee has reviewed each concept design submitted and recommended their preference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that pursuant to the Community Center Design Concept Agreement, the following payments being the same are hereby authorized: 1. $15,000 - BWBR Architects 2. $10,000 - Daniel F. Tully Associates, Inc. 3. $10,000 - Hastings & Chivetta The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: Councilmember Vasiliou Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
