Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 27th day
of February 19 89 The following members were present:
Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: ' None
Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 89- 129
APPROVING AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 89-65 REGAPDING POLICY ADOPTING
STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING PARK DEDICATION.
WHEREAS, Policy Resolution No. 89-65 addresses the standards and guidelines
for determining that portion of land being platted, subdivided, or developed
which is to be conveyed or dedicated to the public for park or playground
purposes or with respect to which cash is to be contributed to the City in
lieu of such conveyance or dedication as provided by Section 500.25 of Chapter
5 of the City Code; and,
WHEREAS, the Policy does not clearly address the situation of a new land
division or plat where one or more of the new parcels or lots is already
developed, and where the developed parcel did not previously contribute land
or cash -in -lieu of land;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does amend the Park Dedication
Policy Resolution 89-65 to clarify requirements that all new parcels or lots
are subject to the requirements of the City Subdivision Code and Park
Dedication Policy including those lots and parcels which have been previously
developed, unless it is documented that the requirements were satisfied
through land dedication or payment of cash fees -in -lieu of dedication, per the
Staff Report dated February 23, 1989.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers
Vasiliou Ricker Zitur and Sisk
The following voted against or abstained None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
