. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular mezting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of - February ,
1989. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Coun:_i_lmembers Vasiliou ,
Ricker, Zitur and Sisk
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89-92
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2
CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION NO. 3
CITY PROJECT NO. 615
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 has been prepared providing for the following:
1. Lengthen the building column changing the bearing from 99'2" at first
floor to 8712" in the basement.
2. Upgrade the aircompressor for the building to conform with ASME standards
and specifications.
3. Make additional changes to the soils for the parking area beyond those
provided for in the contract.
4. Item a. - Delete flower plug plantings on west lawn and replace it with
sod.
Item b. - Change from fiberglass shower enclosures to ceramic shower.
Item r. - The contractor shall provide nine fire extinguishers.
Item d. - Change resilient flooring to Armstrong flooring.
jtem ". - Provide one hour five rated doors in mechanical electrial rooms
No. 7 and No. 8 and change door 7A and 8A from 20 minutes to one hour
doors.
Items f b a. - Provide emergency lighting for Rooms No. 4, 5, 1 and 7 and
stairways a and b. Provide exit signage at rooms 1018, 118C, 1, 9, 4 and
10. Delete exit signage at room 211.
Items h b i - Remove duct penetration into stairway b and delete
registors, grilles, fire dampers, and louvers in stairway 121.
Item i - Provide vertical blinds in areas designated by the Fire
Department.
5. First floor landing of stairs "a", change the four inch burnish block to
. six inch, reinforce wall with two #E4's verticle at the bearing with a C8
x 11.5 channel below the stair stringer and provide a quarter inch steel
plate to cover the top of the wall. This is requir^.d because of the
revised design of the stairway.

6. Relocate six inch ductile iron pipe, combine water and sprinkler service,
to avoid footings and relocate PIV valve to the south side of the
building.
7. Revise footing size and FTN wall reinforcing at the intersection of "c"
and "2".
8. Replace a reinforced masonry wall with the reinforced poured in place
wall, pilasters on grid line "b" at intersecting grid lines "3" and "6";
AND WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 for Fire Station No. 3, City Project No. 615 is
recommended for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA; that Change Order No. 2 for Fire Station No. 3, City Project No. 615 by
adding $8,414 is recommended for approval

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
