HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-081CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of February , 1989. The following members were present: , Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker, Zitur and Sisk The following members were absent: None Councilmember Sisk its adoption: introduced the following Resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 89-81 AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF NINE 1989 MODEL POLICE PATROL VEHICLES WHEREAS, the 1989 Central Equipment Budget and Police Department Budget contemplates the purchase of Police Patrol vehicles; and WHEREAS, on November 10, 1988, pursuant to State Statute, the Hennepin County Cooperative Purchasing Group received and publicly read aloud sealed bids for the purchase of mid and full size Police Patrol vehicles under Hennepin County Contract No. 9524; and WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board, upon recommendation of the County Purchasing Manager, has awarded this bid to the lowest responsible bidder, Viking Southdale Ford. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI_Y OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does authorize the purchase of nine Police full size Patrol vehicles from Viking Southdale Ford under the conditions and specifications of Hennepin County, Contract No. 9524 FURTHER, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order in an amount not to exceed $118,476 with $14,000 from Account No. 101-160-921 and $104,476 from Account No. 602-602-921 for the purchase of these vehicles. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Cn,n ilm_emb Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker-_Zitur and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
