HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-065CITY OF PLYM Mi Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on 23rd day of January 11 1989 . The following members were present: Mayor Schneider,Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker and Sisk The following members were absent: Councilmember Zitur Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 89- 65 APPROVING SETTING PARK DEDICATION FEES FOR 1989 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has a policy setting forth park dedication fees for residential and commercial/industrial property, and WHEREAS, the City assessor has concluded that undeveloped residential property is selling for approximately $16,500 per acre, and undeveloped commercial/industrial property for approximately $37,000 per acre, and WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has recommended that a park dedication fee of $825 per unit be set for residential property and that a fee of $3,300 per acre be used for commercial/industrial property, and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said recommendation and finds this recommendation to be appropriate, based on the assessor's land estimates, and in comparison with park fees from other metropolitan communities, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the 1989 park fees shall be $825 per residential unit and $3,300 per acre for commercial/industrial property effective March 1, 1989. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Ricker and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
