HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1989-030CITY OF PLYMOILMi Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of January , 1989. Rirkar The following members were absent: Cnnnd imemher 7itnr Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLITTION NO. 89-30 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1988 WEED ERADICATION AND DES'iR(lC'L'ION ROIL 3 WHMM, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for 1988 weed eradication and destruction charges, Roll 3, as provided for by the City Ordinances and has emended such proposed assessment as it deems just; N[ -Vv, '1% , BE IT RELY RESOLVED By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYIYDM, M W*S=: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and node a part thereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the land named therein and each tract of land herein included is hereby baud to be identified by the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessments shall be payable over a period of one year. 3. Assessments may be paid in full to the City of Plymouth Finance Director by February 22, 1989 without additional charge. After February 22, 1989 daily interest charge based on an annual rate of 8.00% starting on January 23, 1989 will be due in addition to the levied assessment. The last date a payment can be accepted by the City of Plymouth is November 15, 1989. After that date interest shall be added from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1990 and payment can only be mode to Hennepin County with the 1990 property taxes. 4. The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assesments shall be collected and paid over the same nwmer as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the 1988 weed eradication and destruction charges Roll 3 assessed by this resolution are $1,695. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CniinrilmPmher Vasiliou , and upon Vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, , Ricker and Sisk The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
