Special Council Meeting
August 18, 1997
A special meeting of the Plymouth City Council was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the
Wayzata High School, 4955 Peony Lane, on August 18, 1997.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Tierney; Councilmembers Wold, Spigner, Johnson, and
Black.
ABSENT: Councilmembers Preus and Bildsoe.
CITY STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Johnson, Assistant Manager Lueckert, Community
Development Director Hurlburt, Public Works Director Moore, Public Safety Director
Gerdes, Finance Director Hahn, and Park Director Blank.
A joint meeting was held with the board members and staff of Independent School District
284. A tour of the new Wayzata High School was provided and the following topics were
discussed:
Civics or Local Government Curriculum
Development of Northwest Plymouth
Possible Activity Center
Potential Skateboard/Roller Blade/Bike Park
Completion of Peony Lane
Traffic Control at Wayzata High School the first week of school
School Bus Stops
Greenwood and Oakwood Elementary Schools
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
