Special Council Meeting
September 10, 2013
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:35 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on September 10, 2013.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Wosje, Willis, Johnson, Stein, and
Bildsoe.
ABSENT: Councilmember Black.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister and City Clerk Engdahl.
Ward 4 Applications
City Manager Callister reported that eight applications were received for the Ward 4
Councilmember position. The Council stated they would be interviewing all applicants on
September 17 at 5:30 p.m. They directed staff to schedule the interviews 25 minutes apart and to
prepare a list of questions to ask the applicants that evening.
City Manager Goals
The Council discussed goals with City Manager Callister.
The Council requested that staff provide a report which was given to the Council previously on
point of sale inspections.
Future Study Sessions
The Council scheduled a study session on November 12 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the Fire Relief
Association's request for pension increases.
The few of the Councilmembers stated they would be interested in a tour of the adult correctional
facility. Staff was directed to contact the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office to suggest some
possible dates for this tour.
