RESOLUTION REJECTING BID AND
ORDER RE -ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NW -17 TRUNK SANITARY SEWER - PHASE II
CITY PROJECT NO. 040
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for NW -17 Trunk Sanitary Sewer - Phase
II, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following bids
were received complying with the advertisement:
Progressive Contractors $335,966.60 $554,193.00
Northdale Construction Co., Inc. 598,967.00 636,415.00
Ryan Contracting 544,136.50 627,149.50
WHEREAS, the scope of the project has changed to warrant rejecting bids; and
WHEREAS, re -advertisement for bids is necessary; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
I. All bids received on August 12, 1992 for Phase II of the NW -17 Trunk
Sanitary Sewer, City Project No. 040 are rejected.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvement under such approved revised plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by
the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 25, 1992, at
which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the
Plymouth City Center Building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth,
Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
