RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
MEDINA ROAD - STREET AND UTILITIES
CITY PROJECT NO. 010
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of:
Medina Road - West city limits boundary to County Road 101
Medina Road - County Road 101 to the future alignment of County
Road 24
by the installation of 52 feet and 36 feet wide bituminous streets with
concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, trunk watermain, sanitary sewer
lateral, and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such
improvement is $1,702,837.44 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in
the making of said improvement amount to $412,174.00 so the total cost of the
improvement will be $2,115,011.44 and of this cost the City will pay
$574,987.2 as its share of the cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
I. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby
declared to be $1,540,023.82.
2. It is further determined that the following charges for water
trunk main, pumping and storage facilities, and sanitary sewer
trunk facilities for the above project shall be applied to the
existing land use zoning:
Water Area Residential $1,580 per acre
Sewer Area Residential $ 880 per acre
3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall
forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed
for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or
parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to
cash valuation, as provided by the law, and shall file a copy
of such proposed assessment in the office for public
inspection.
4. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment
notify the Council thereof.
