HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1992-490• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 92-490 AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE AUTHORIZED NUMBER OF PAID ON-CALL FIREFIGHTERS TO SIXTY-FIVE WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the maximum number of paid on-call firefighters for the Plymouth Fire Department at sixty; and WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to recruit five new firefighters, the majority of whom can be classified as "daytime responders." and WHEREAS, the addition of five paid on-call firefighters does not have a significant actuarial impact on the pension program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does, authorize the addition of five paid on-call firefighters, bringing the total authorized positions for 1992 to sixty-five. AND FURTHER, the 1992 revised fire department budget should be amended to reflect this change. Adopted by the City Council on August 17, 1992
