HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1992-156RESOLUTION NO. 92-156 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 15TH AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 945 WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: 15th Avenue north of South Shore Drive by the installation of a 16 foot wide bituminous street without concrete curb and gutter, but with storm drainage improvements and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is $27,501.84 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $14,604.00 so the total cost of the improvement will be $42,105.84 and of this cost the City will pay $3,489.00 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $21,453.80. 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be special assessed from such improvement against every accessible lot, piece of parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by the law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office for public inspection. 3. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment notify the Council thereof. 4. The Clerk shall invoice the City of Medicine Lake for its portion of the project cost in the amount of $17,163.04. Adopted by the City Council on March 2, 1992.
