AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF
PARCEL 36-118-22-43-0158
TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has provided the City with a list of
nonconservation properties which have become tax forfeit as a
result of nonpayment of property taxes and/or special
assessments; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Council's Tax Forfeit Land
policy, each parcel has been reviewed; and
WHEREAS, parcel 36-118-22-43-0158 does not serve a public
purpose; and
WHEREAS, the adjacent property owner has expressed an interest in
acquiring the parcels to be used for a garagz, stall for one of
the units in the Willow Grove Condominiums,; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of returning tax forfeit
parcels to private ownership whenever possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does:
1. Declare Parcel No. 36-118-22-43-0158 to be unbuildable
from a zoning and city code perspective.
2. Authorize the private sale of said parcel to the
adjacent property owner in accordance with Hennepin
County procedures.
3. Requires that the Homeowner Association execute
covenants for the parcel, confirming that the area is to
be forever used by the Homeowner Association for garage
stall purposes and not development.
