HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1992-105RESOLUTION NO. 92-105 AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF PARCEL 16-118-22-23-0114 TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER WHEREAS, Hennepin County has provided the City with a list of nonconservation properties which have become tax forfeit as a result of nonpayment of property taxes and/or special assessments; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Council's Tax Forfeit Land policy, each parcel has been reviewed; and WHEREAS, parcel 16-118-22-23-0114 does not serve a public purpose; and WHEREAS, the adjacent property owner has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcels to be used as commons property upon which the homes in the Plymouth Creek Development sit; and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of returning tax forfeit parcels to private ownership whenever possible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: 1. Declare Parcel No. 16-118-22-23-0114 to be unbuildable from a zoning and city code perspective. 2. Authorize the private sale of said parcel to the adjacent property owner in accordance with Hennepin County procedures. 3. Requires that the Homeowner Association execute covenants for the parcel, confirming that the area is to be forever used by the Homeowner Association for commons property purposes and not development.
