RESOLUTION 92-77
REALLOCATION OF YEAR XVI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE SCATTERED SITE HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM TO HOUSING PLANNING STUDIES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is required by Hennepin County regulations and
the Joint Cooperation Agreement to expend its Year XVI allocation for
Scattered Site Homeownership of $48,605 by December 31, 1991; and,
WHEREAS, the current need for 1991 assistance is less than anticipated in the
Year XVI allocation; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has a growing need to plan for affordable
Housing opportunities for low and moderate income families wishing to purchase
a home in Plymouth; and,
WHEREAS, on August 1, 1991, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority
held a duly constituted Public Hearing to allow interested parties to express
their opinion; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority discussed ways the Community
Development Block Grant funds allocated for the Scattered Site Homeownership
Program could be utilized in accordance with federal guidelines for other
eligible projects and recommended that $10,100 be reallocated from Scattered
Site Homeownership Program to Housing Planning Studies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that $10,100 of Year XVI Community Development Block
Grant funds be reallocated from the Scattered Site Homeownership Program to
Housing Planning Studies.
