HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1991-685CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 91-685 APPROVING A 1992 APPLICATION TO THE REGIONAL TRANSIT BOARD FOR THE PROVISION OF PLYMOUTH METROLINK AND PLYMOUTH DIAL -A -RIDE SERVICES AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS REQUIRED FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUCH APPLICATIONS WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth under the Minnesota Transit Demonstration Program, commonly known as, "Opt Out" has initiated the Plymouth Metrolink and Plymouth Dial -A -Ride Transit Programs; and WHEREAS, the City annually submits an application to the Regional Transit Board for the funding required for the provision of such programs; and WHEREAS, the City Council has been apprised of the proposed program for 1992, including its funding implications and the necessity for a fare increase for Plymouth Dial -A -Ride. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: 1. Approve the proposed 1992 Transit Application to Regional Transit Board as contained in the staff report dated October 16, 1991. 2. Authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to enter into contractual agreements with the Regional Transit Board, MTC, and Morley/National Bus Company for the provision of transit services for 1992 for Plymouth Metrolink and Dial -A -Ride. Adopted by the City Council on October 21, 1991.
