Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on 17th day of
June #1 19 91 . The following mangers were
present:_ nyor 11,-rgman, Coimcilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur.
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. 91-330
APPROVING FLOATING BOARDWALK TRAIL CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City has an adopted comprehensive trail plan showing a Class I
trail running between Zachary Lane and Larch Lane, parallel to the Soo Line
Railroad Tracks, and
WHEREAS, over 90% of this trail is currently in place, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has recommended that the Twin
City Tree Trust be commissioned to construct the final segment of said trail,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized
to proceed with the construction of the floating boardwalk trail immediately
east of Zachary Lane and south of the Soo Line Railroad Tracks, and further,
that $10,000 shall be transferred from the Park Dedication Fund to the
Construction Fund for this project.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Mayor Beronan , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Ber an, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker,
Vasiliou. and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
