Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 3rd day of
June , 1991. The following members were present: ,
Mayor Bergman. Councilmembers Helliwell Ricker Vasiliou and Zitur ,
The following members were absent: None
Mayor Bergman introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 91-322
ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED VACATION OF
A PORTION OF 13TH AVENUE NORTH AND SOUTH SHORE DRIVE
STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY - EAST MEDICINE LAKE ADDITION
WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S.A. 412.851, the owners of Lots 8, 9, 10, and 11, East
Medicine Lake Addition have petitioned the City Council for the vacation of a
portion of 13th Avenue North and South Shore Drive within East Medicine Lake
Addition:
Legal Description of road to be vacated: That part of Government Lot 4,
Section 25, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, MN described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 11, East Medicine Lake
Addition, according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County,
MN; thence on an assumed bearing of south 67 degrees, 02 minutes,
00 seconds west along the southerly line of said Lot 11, a
distance of 86.80 feet to the southwest corner of said Lot 11;
thence south 26 degrees, 35 minutes, 42 seconds east a distance of
10.00 feet; thence easterly along a non-tangential curve concave
to the south having a radius of 569.50 feet a central angle of 09
degrees, 07 minutes, 13 seconds, and a chord bearing of north 77
degrees, 57 Minutes, 55 seconds east an arc distance of 90.65
feet; thence north 25 degrees, 06 minutes, 00 seconds west a
distance of 27.13 feet to the point of beginning;
and
That part of Government Lot 4, Section 25, Township 118, Range 22,
Hennepin County, MN described as follows: Commencing at the
southeast corner of Lot 11, East Medicine Lake Addition according
to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, MN; thence on an
assumed bearing of south 67 degrees, 02 minutes, 00 seconds west
along the southerly line of said Lot 11, a distance of 86.80 feet
to the southwest corner of said Lot 11; thence south 16 degrees,
35 minutes, 42 seconds east 3 distance of 10.00 feet; thence
easterly along a non-tangentia' curve concave to the south having
a radius of 569.50 feet a central angle of 09 degrees, 07 minutes,
13 seconds and a chord bearing of north 77 degrees, 57 minutes, 55
seconds east an arc distance of 90.65 feet to the point of
beginning of the land to be described; thence continuing on the
easterly extension of the last described curve having a radius of
569.50 feet, a central angle of 09 degrees, 27 minutes, 04 seconds

east an arc distance of 93.94 feet to the southerly line of
Central Avenue as platted in East Medicine Lake Addition; thence

line a distance of 2.56 feet; thence north 27 degrees, 14 minutes,
00 seconds west a distance of 66.00 feet to the southeast corner
of Lot 10 in said East Medicine Lake Addition; thence south 62
degrees, 46 minutes, 00 seconds west along the southerly line of
said Lot 10, a distance of 86.95 feet to the southwest corner of
said Lot 10; thence south 25 degrees, 06 minutes, 00 seconds east
a distance of 27.13 feet to the point of beginning;

southeast corner of Lot 11, East Medicine Lake Addition according
to the recorded plat thereof Hennepin County, MN; thence on an

along the southerly line of said Lot 11, a distance of 86.80 feet

southerly line, a distance of 2.56 feet to the point of beginning
of the land to be described; thence continuing along said
southerly line north 62 degrees, 46 minutes, 00 seconds east a
distance of 13.62 feet; thence northeasterly along a non-
tangential curve concave to the southeast having a radius of
165.39 feet a central angle of 31 degrees, 47 minutes, 13 seconds
and a chord bearing of north 26 degrees, 38 minutes, 40 seconds
east an arc distance of 91.76 feet; thence north 27 degrees, 14
minutes, 00 seconds west a distance of 12.60 feet to the southeast
corner of Lot 9 and said East Medicine Lake Addition; thence south
62 degrees, 46 minutes, 00 seconds west along the southerly line
of said Lot 9, a distance of 86.79 feet to the southwest corner of
said Lot 9; thence south 27 degrees, 14 minutes, 00 seconds east a
distance of 66.00 feet to the point of beginning;

the land to be described; thence continuing along the
northeasterly extension of the last described curve having a
radius of 165.39 feet a central angle of 15 degrees, 26 minutes,
33 seconds and a chord bearing of north 50 degrees, 15 minutes, 34
seconds east an arc distance of 44.58 feet; thence north 57
degrees, 58 minutes, 50 seconds east a distance of 35.64 feet to
the southeast corner of Lot 8 in said East Medicine Lake Addition;
thence south 62 degrees, 46 minutes, 00 seconds west along the
southerly line of said Lot 8, a distance of 78.90 feet to the
southwest corner of said Lot 8; thence south 27 degrees, 14
minutes, 00 seconds east a distance of 12.60 feet to the point of
beginning.
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said request and found the same
to be in order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should, and hereby does, establish the date of
July 1, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Plymouth City Center, 3400
Plymouth Boulevard, as the time and place for the public hearing of said
petition and directs the administrative staff to publish notice of said
hearing as provided by law.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ricker , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Berm. Councilmembers Helliwell, ; k r, ,
Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following voted against or abstainf None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared (j, -Iv passed and adopted.
