HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1991-256CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of May , 1991. The following members were present: , Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker,, Vatiiliou, and 7iti.r , The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-256 REQUESTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT SPEED STUDY - ZACHARY LANE WHEREAS, traffic continues to increase on Zachary Lane north of County Road 9; and WHEREAS, there is inadequate sight distance at the intersection of the Zachary Lane Elementary School driveway and Zachary Lane based on 45 mile per hour speed limit; and WHEREAS, a pedestrian crosswalk will be installed at this location between the school and the playfield; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to review the proper speed limit for this street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City requests the Minnesota Department of Transportation to undertake an engineering study to determine the safe and reasonable speed on the following road: Zachary Lane from County Road 9 to 46th Avenue The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor BerMan, C'ounri lmemherc 14,-111-11, Ricker" Vasiliou. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
